The Los Angeles Dodgers have removed pitcher Julio Urías' locker from the clubhouse.
The team returned to Los Angeles on Monday after a six-game road trip, and reporters noticed his locker was gone. When asked about it, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said he learned about the move "five minutes ago" and called it an "organizational thing."
"It's sad. It really, it's sad on every level," he said. "So I just learned about this."
After Roberts confirmed he hadn't spoken to the pitcher, a reporter followed up by asking if the removed locker is a sign that the team is "moving on" from Urías.
"I think so. I mean, I think that's kind of where we're at right now," Roberts said. "So I just, there's really not much for me to comment on the fact, just like I said on the first day, it's just a very, very unfortunate, sad situation."

Urías was placed on administrative leave by Major League Baseball on Wednesday after he was arrested on felony domestic violence charges days prior. On Sept. 3, he was taken into police custody in a parking lot near BMO Stadium, where soccer superstar Lionel Messi and Inter Miami CF played against Los Angeles FC in a Major League Soccer game. Urías was charged with felony corporal injury against a spouse. MLB is investigating the incident.
Roberts previously said he was "shocked" by his pitcher's arrest and that it is an "extremely unfortunate circumstance for everyone." He said the team would allow the league to conduct its investigation.
The Dodgers reportedly gave Urías' locker spot to infielder Kolten Wong, per the Los Angeles Times' Mike DiGiovanna. Wong made his debut for the Dodgers on Sept. 1 after Los Angeles signed him to a minor league deal in August. He played the first part of this season with the Seattle Mariners.
The Dodgers are 4-5 in the month of September and opened a series hosting the San Diego Padres on Monday night.
